Goal’14 – Our second match – Against EY

Sunday, April.06, 2014

Sunday, when the whole of Kochi is lazing off on this day, we had our second match against EY at 9 in the morning. As I indicated in the earlier writing that most of our loss in transfers have been to EY and we did lose a lot in this transfer. This was evident with serious repercussions as seen in the match today.

The match was identical to the one we played earlier on Saturday. We lost this match too by 5-0. The achievement- we did not lose by 6-0. The loss we had the other day had a negative bearing on our play today. It was a huge effort for each of our boyz to get going and play the game. Play, we did but we lead foot and a heavy heart. It was not a typical energetic, enthusiastic bunch of guys this time.

Surely, they are not to blame. They played their heart out the previous game and it was evident that we have a long way to go and be there… It will require a lot of motivation, will and perseverance to do that.

Another saying that goes like this. ‘I did it because you told me, “I can not do it”.’ If we keep this in mind, we will do it one day and break that mental barrier.

Until then, resign yourself to the fate that Abhilash is gonna write and keep pestering you to take it up and do better every time.

So, Guyz n Gals, see you until our next match in the GOAL series.

Take care.
